Flexible Office Space: Is It Dead? (Nope!)
Flexible Office Space: Is It Dead? (Nope!)

Shocker: the pandemic changed a lot of stuff. Mostly everything we knew as “normal” was suddenly and unexpectedly gone. Our lives were confined to our homes, and communication became strictly virtual. (Side note: the Monday in mid-March 2020 when everything shut down, I remember how blue the sky was that day, and how surreal our current reality was. Anybody feel me on this?)
But that was a year and a half ago. Nearly two years. And thankfully, flexible office space isn’t dead! According to an article on spaceiq.com, flexible office space as we knew it before that bright blue-skied day is still very much alive. Just a bit different. These days, it’s geared more toward providing the right environment for different people. While most of us have returned to the office, maybe your company hasn’t or, for various reasons, maybe you’re personally not comfortable with that yet. In this case, your company would probably seek out a virtual office solution; IE, one where a private office is available to you should the need arise, but generally speaking, you are free to work from home. Or wherever. (Did I mention BCI offers such a plan? Call to find out more!)
SpaceIQ also states that, by 2030, as much as 30% of all office space in the US will be categorized as flexible. That’s a relief! Needless to say, I think the industry is doing just fine.
